Hello there, after having participated in a lot of debates and discussions about balance in Bear Force 2 Events, I am making this post in the hope of representing all the different viewpoints held on the subject together with facts and advice on different classes.

YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE, write a comment with an explanation of your favorite class/weapon. I will look through it and will edit this post

This is WIP and I will add things over time, it will be split into the classes and their weapons. It is a huge Project so bare with me it will take time.

It is the age old question, should Bear Force 2 be balanced around the events or the public play. One side says Events because that is where most players play, the other side wants it balanced for public play since that is where the new players experience the game for the first time most of the time.

   - Reduce Accuracy so it is only possible to snipe when crouched
   - Buff Damage to a value high enough to kill on headshots on long range
Impact
   - Sniping as a whole slows down, gets more risky, but also has a higher reward as this change would require a buff on another stat. (Most likely damage)
   - Short range would become impossible to hit with a sniper, meaning even if the damage in close combat is high enough to kill on chest hit it is highly unlikely  to hit

   - Is it possible to make uncrouched aiming very inaccurate while having the crouched aim be 100% accurate?

   - Too strong in close combat when played correctly

Suggestion 2: Reloading Sniper

   - Add the Crossbow reload animation to the sniper
   - Reload after every bullet
   - Buff needed on Damage or Weapon Warmup (Removal of warmup possible)

   - Makes every shot more valuable since you have to go into a safe spot to reload after it
   - In short range combat you are dead as soon as you miss one shot
Uncertainties
   - Is it possible to add the crossbow animation to the sniper?

   - Makes Sniper unfun to play

Suggestion 3: Ammo Reduction

   - Set the amount of bullets used per shot anywhere between 3 - 10
Impact
   - Sniping like before is possible, but the ever lasting threat of running out of bullets will make the sniper choose targets more visely, not trying to hit moving targets, only stationary that look like a certain hit
   - In longer stalemates or rounds the Sniper will have to scavange the front lines for ammo.

This infantry division is for the Bearforce II mod for Mount and Blade Warband.

We are the 22nd infantry division for the rebel alliance. Our Regiment has some of the most experienced and skillfull players in the mod.

After playing this Mod for many months, I decided to give something back to this Community by making a Superprojekt.

I want to further expand on my suggestion made in "The Clone Wars Event"

I understand that the devs are probably most concerned with stability and balance right now, but I just wanted to give some input on things that would make the mod more enjoyable in my opinion.

These Scenario Events would not be Months long, but single Events or Battles after a certain Theme.
In my opinion there are only positives to this besides organization. But even in point of organization this would make things easier in the long run.


Let me give you some Examples:

Planetary Assault:


The Armies of (insert) are attacking a Planet occupied by (insert). Their mission is to conquer the Planet at any cost, leaving no survivors.

Preparation:
The Teams get balanced at the start of the Event. These teams don't change over the whole event.
The Mods chose 3-4 Maps on the same Planet.
One Team gets chosen to attack, the other to defend.

Rules:
There is a time limit to the whole Event. This time limit is the attackers limit to win.
The game mode is Siege.
When the attackers win the first map, they advance to the second map and so on.

Optional:
Set the lives on the last map to 1. The last stand of the (insert armie here). This Round would not last very long, but it is supposed to show the cornered enemy. This could also be an additional map after the other ones.

Home Assault

Home planet to a certain race gets attacked. (Kashyyk, Geonosis)

Preparation:
The Teams get balanced at the start of the Event.
The Mods chose 1 Map on a Planet with playable Population.
One Team gets chosen to attack, the other to defend.

Rules:
The game mode is Battle.
The Defending Race has to play the Inhabitants.

Optional:
Combine this with other scenarios.


The list of possibilities is endless (Ambush, Guerilla, King of the Hill, mayby even Infiltration, where a huge army fights against a small unit of elite people) If you have any Ideas or Criticism please feel free to leave a comment.

Oh and I am sorry for making so many Suggestions and Topics, but I think I fell in love with this mod :D

I am not entirely sure which topic this belongs into.

I thought of recording my Gameplay and rather than posting full length events, making short Highlight Videos about good rounds/shots on the Official Server and Events.

My Question to you guys is, would you watch it? And rather more importantly do you think this would help people get into the mod?

One short round from Sunday to showcase. There would be sound in the final version obviously.
