Guide: Separatists

Introduction to the Separatists

The Separatist army consists of droids of many types and a few Bounty Hunters and Sith. These droids are mostly poorly outfitted and are produced on a huge scale in many factories. Separatist droids have no fear and are programmed to attack relentlessly no matter how strong be their casualties. This army of mindless droids is an enormous force to be reckoned with and causes a huge threat to the Galactic Republic.

The Separatist army consists of B1 Battle Droids, B2 Super Battle Droids, IG–100 MagnaGuards, Bounty Hunters, and of course Sith.

B1 Battle Droid

The B1 Battle Droid is the Separatists equivalent to the Republican Clone Trooper. The B1 is a light armoured droid equipped with the default E-5 Blaster Rifle and the option to equip the E-60R Missile Launcher. You can also improve this droids armour to the BX Droid Armour, a far more protective armour. The BX armour (black armour) is used for Officers commanding the droid army.

The B1 Battle Droids main weapon is the E-5 Blaster Rifle, an extremely well-balanced all round capable gun, however offers slightly less firepower compare to the Clones DC-15 Rifle. This weapon can sacrifice Shot speed for improved Accuracy by pressing “x”. When crouching (“c”), the Droid will have an overall improved accuracy, suffering only movement speed.

The B1 Battle Droid is a suitable class to play for any person, be they new to the mod or not!

B2 Super Battle Droid

The B2 Super Battle Droid is an extremely powerful and fearful droid which will easily shoot its way through a group of enemies. This monstrous droid is only equipped to use the Wrist Blaster. The Wrist Blaster is not the strongest of weapons, but the droids sheer amount of armour protection can make it a sort of tank causing it a powerful troop to be reckoned with.

The B2 is a very simple class to play as you only have one weapon to choose from and you have quite a lot of armour. This makes it a very easy starter class for people who just want lead a charge or to cause havoc amongst clone battalions!

IG-100 MagnaGuard

The MagnaGuard is an elite troop which serves as General Grievous’ personal bodyguard. The fact that this unit of elite droids serves as a bodyguard grants it a terrifying reputation throughout the galaxy.

The Magna is equipped with a powerful Shotgun which shoots 5 rounds per shot. This gun makes the Magna a powerful unit to lead close quarter assaults, however your ammo will drain very quickly upon careless use. The Magna can also use a Vibro Blade (Same as ARC Trooper) and an extremely powerful Electrostaff, which can match any Jedi in combat. The Magna is also able to use Force Jump (Space + Q) and force Offence (Grants extra damage temporarily but drains your Force Points at an extreme rate).

The MagnaGuard is a well versed class for both Melee and Ranged, however should not be used for long distance with the shotgun. I would reckon that this class is more suitable to people who have played the mod for a small bit, not for people who have just started the game.

Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter is the Republics equivalent of the Jet Trooper. The Bounty Hunter has decent armour and the option to buy the Z-6 Jetpack.

Apart from the distinctive Mandalorian armour, the Bounty Hunter also has iconic pistols such as the DE-10 Blaster Pistol and the Westar 34 Twin blasters. For self-defence, the Mandalorian has the option to use a Mandalorian staff as a melee weapon which can be used to keep people away with the pointy tip! The Bounty Hunter has a very unique explosive, the Z-6 Warhead. The Warhead can ONLY be used in the air with a Jetpack.

The Bounty Hunter is a simple class to play and can be easily played by new people. The ability to quickly escape combat and to bombard enemies with lasers and a warhead can be quite devastating!

Sith Sorcerer

The Sith Sorcerer is an extremely powerful unit which the Separatists has to offer. It is a class well able to adapt in any situation, be it advancing quickly and forcing enemies back, attracting attention, defending droids or even quickly jumping forward and finishing off stragglers!

The sorcerer has access to lightsabers and a variety of force powers. The sorcerer has an extremely strong force power called Force Lightning (Activated by Q) which throws an arc of lightning in front, stunning both friend and foe. The only way to defend against lightning is to use a lightsaber and block. The sorcerer also has common force powers such as Force Jump (Jump + Q), and Force Defence (Extra Health).

The Sith Sorcerer is one of two classes in the mod with access to Force Regeneration. This power increases your regeneration from 3 to 5. Your force regenerates every 0.3 seconds by either 3 (Without Force Regeneration) or 5 (With Force Regeneration).
The last force power the sorcerer has is Force Points + 500. This gives you a maximum amount of 1500 force points. This can be an extremely useful asset when you need to quickly assault the enemy or if you have to heal a lot of allies around you! However, don’t get too cocky and feel invincible with this power just yet. Seeing as the sorcerer can NOT reflect lasers this has to be carefully planned and makes it slightly harder to play this class.

This class is best suited for people who have more experience with melee, as it is an all melee class. It is quite a nice immersive class to play as but can be frustrating to play if you’re not that good at melee and the fact that you cannot reflect lasers. However, it is an excellent class to use lightning against Jedi and Clones.

Sith Warrior

The Warrior is a similar class to the Jedi Consular, with two major differences; the warrior has +500 force instead of Regeneration, and has Force Offense for increased damage at the cost of the rapid decrease of Force Points.

The Warrior has access to Force Offense, Force Jump, Force Counter, Force Defence, and Force Points +500. In my opinion this class is a better all-around Sith compared to the Sorcerer because you can reflect incoming lasers. This will make sure clones will stay at a difference rather than them charging towards you shooting you and wasting your force if you didn’t have Force Counter.

This class is best suited for people who have more experience with melee, as it is an all melee class. However anyone can play it as it feels awesome to play as an evil sith with a hooded head and an ominous red glowing lightsaber!

Oh dear, can't wait to see those B2s in action. I hope you'll eventually add Droidekas too.

Great grammar, I have to say - Sleek.
Lovely guide, though it could do with more finer details - though it is aimed at newer audiences so, it is simple enough.
