BEHAVIOUR  RULES

§ 1 Maturity and Respect

(1) Players should respect both the letter and the spirit of the rules. The responsibility for ensuring that this happens lies not with one individual - it involves captains, players and referees. It is through discipline, control and mutual respect that the spirit of the game flourishes and these are the qualities which forge the fellowship and sense of fair play essential to the game's ongoing success and survival.
(2) In order to maintain a serious and professional environment participants must be respectful and polite on the Bear Force II League subboard, servers and streams. Every participant of the Bear Force II League is advised to refrain from using language that is obscene, foul, vulgar, insulting, threatening, abusive, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or otherwise offensive or objectionable. If someone shows a poor attitude and displays rudeness or immaturity he or she will be punished by the tournament administration. The range of punishments reaches from a warning to a ban from of the tournament for players, depending on the weight of the incident, or respectively removal of streamer accreditation.
(3) Any team that uses, incites or benefits from disruption to the matches, practice sessions or organisation of other teams will face disciplinary action at the admins discretion, up to and including disqualification from the tournament.

§ 2 Cheating

(1) It is strictly prohibited to gain an advantage by modifying texture files or using game modifications such as aimbots or autoblock. Every player that is found to have modified texture files or using game modifications will be banned from the tournament.
(2) Exceptions from § 2 I are listed in Appendix A. Requests for additional exceptions can be made towards the tournament administration in a provided thread.
(3) When requested by the match referee players must take a screenshot of their game view while holding any kind of ranged weapon or, if they have no ranged weapon, their melee weapon, spear or lance. Players should ensure the screenshot contains the referee message, the scoreboard and buildings or players. Concerned players must post their screenshot within 30 minutes of the match ending on the forums or send it to a tournament admin or the match referee. Failing to comply with any part of this rule will result in a one match ban for that player.
(4) If a player is found to have broken any of the rules during a match and the admins determine that a significant advantage was gained, that player’s team will forfeit the relevant rounds.

TOURNAMENT  RULES

§ 3 Tournament Format

The league is organized as a ladder format with 10 weeks. The teams with the highest amount of points after Week 10 will be awarded the first, second and third place respectively.

(1)Each match will consist of two maps, each map consisting of two first-to-three sets. Rounds will count both towards the match win and towards the round differential, which acts as a tiebreaker in the standings.
(2)The higher seeded team will start the match as the top spawn in the first set. They will then swap spawns for the remainder of the match.
(3)Each team is required to play exactly 6 players; should a team be unable to do so, the other team can play the match out or request a default.
(4)If the match is played between an EU and NA team, the first sets of the two maps will be played on the region server of the higher seeding team, then the lower seeded team will pick a server on their region and the second sets of the two maps will played on that server.
(5)If the match is played between an EU and an NA team, the higher seeded team picks the server to play on in their region first.
(6)If a team forfeits mid-match, all remaining rounds shall be scored for the opposing team.
(7)Upon the change of the map, the first round will not be live.
(8)Teams are granted 5 minutes of preparation between each set, and 10 minutes between each map. After this period ends, either team may request for a "live on re" meaning the match will be considered live upon reset even if one side is not ready to play.
(9)Substitutions are allowed between rounds, meaning you can substitute any player at any time during the match.

The League stage:
The BFL will be played in a ladder system, lasting ten weeks.
Teams are sorted in the ladder firstly by total points, secondly by round difference, thirdly by individual round difference of the team with the same amount of points and round difference and fourthly by alphabetical order(Unless it's the final week, in which case a tie-breaker match will have to be played).
Teams are awarded 0 points for a loss, 1 point for a draw and 3 points for a win.
Teams are assigned levels according to how many matches they have won.
Level 0: 0 Wins
Level 1: 1 Win
Level 2: 2 Wins
Level 3: 3 Wins
Level 4: 4 Wins
Level 5: 5 Wins
Level 6: 6 Wins
Level 7: 7 Wins
Level 8: 8 Wins
Level 9: 9 Wins
Level 10: 10 Wins
Maps and their corresponding factions will be pre-determined by the administrative team as fixtures.
The weekly match-ups are made by the teams themselves during "pick nights". These pick nights take place every Tuesday between 19:30 and 21:30 GMT. Each team is allotted a time slot of two minutes to pick their opponents.
Picking order is prioritised as follows:
Teams with zero points that were in the BFL the previous week.
Teams that have joined the BFL in the current week.
Teams yet to pick with the lowest number of points
Should teams have an equal number of points, then the team with the higher rounds won is given priority. Should teams have the same amount of  rounds won, the team with a higher round difference is given priority. Should that fail, they will be randomized for the pick order.
Week one match-ups will be selected randomly.
Teams may not pick a team they played against in the previous week or a team more than one level above them, unless there is no other alternative.
If a team misses their pick or makes an in-valid pick, their pick is randomized from any of the next 3 teams in the picking order that lost their latest match or are new to the ladder. Failing that, the pick is taken from the next team in the picking order that lost their last match or is new to the ladder. Failing that, the pick is randomized from any of the next 3 teams in the picking order.
If a team only has two teams to choose from and one of the teams sat out the previous week, they must pick that team.
If the league has an odd number of teams, the team that has first pick will be awarded a default win.
If two teams fail to play their match within the deadline, for the purposes of the next pick night they will be treated as if they had won their match and lost all rounds.

§ 4 Scheduling

(1) Team captains should post in the scheduling thread for each week by Wednesday, 19:00 GMT, either the agreed time and date of that week's match or the days and times they are available to play if they have been unable to agree or to contact their opponent.
(2) Should the opponent not respond or not post compatible times the admins reserve the right to schedule the match.
(3) Teams are not allowed to agree a date that falls after the deadline for their official match unless allowed by the tournament administration.

§ 5 Maps & Factions
(1) Maps and their corresponding factions will be pre-determined by the administrative team as fixtures.
(2) The list of the maps and factions used are listed in the 'Maps and Factions' thread.

Extra clarification for the pick nights:
