General Discussion & Suggestions / Looking to help the mod?
« Last post by BNS Mαrk on September 13, 2017, 03:21:54 pm »
Hello everyone,

With Marko leaving the Development of Bear Force II he trusted me with taking the mod forward. Before this, as Community Manager of the mod, I always got the question "How can I help out the mod". Well, you couldn't really, everything was being taken care of. But now you can! I'll be updating this post regularly with topics the mod could use your help with! The only requirement is that you can contact me. This would either be on Steam or Discord.

Now then to the task at hand. Some topics will require some experience within that topic, but otherwise, you can be a complete beginner to the game and still help out if you've got the patience and dedication to help out the mod! Here is a list of topics the mod could use help with:

- Map making (Doesn't require any experience. Only patience and dedication)
- 3D modeling (Requires moderate experience in such topic)
- Soundtrack creating (Requires moderate experience in such topic)
- Regiment recruiter (No experience other than being able to contact people is necessary)

Contact me if you would like to help out with any of the above! I'll show you around and tell you what exactly we need!

General Discussion & Suggestions / My resignation and the new development team
« Last post by BNS Marko on September 10, 2017, 10:51:24 pm »
Greetings, everyone. What follows will not be your usual development blog with new update progress and screenshots, it's a very important announcement in regards to mod development.

After more than two years of being the head developer of Star Wars: Bear Force II, the time for me to part ways has come. It has been a great pleasure, and an honour to work on this mod and with its amazing community. Time however, takes its toll as with everything in life and it's time for me to move on. The entire team has worked hard over the years to make our vision come true, we've learned and progressed a lot. You'll be hearing from us soon in regards to our new standalone project, we're not going anywhere!

However, this isn't the end of the road for the mod and the community! A new lead developer in whom I carry deep trust is taking over. Most of you familiar with the community surely have crossed ways with Mark, who will now be at the helm of the mod's development, together with EmielRegis - a new coder. They'll have a new strength and vigour to carry on with the mod development in a vision of their own, which I assure you is no less impressive than what we've accomplished so far. Mark and his new crew will soon provide a full blog to introduce themselves and the plans for the mod's future and direction.

I would like to once again thank the entire community, all the developers, contributors and all those who helped this mod reach the very top of what is considered modding games. It's hard to find the right words to express what an experience all of this was and what it meant. But, that's life, and the show must go on.

Regards,

Marko

                                                               442nd

During the Battle of Cato Neimoidia in 19.1 BBY, the 442nd Siege Battalion was sent to destroy Trade Federation strongholds.

The battalion was skilled in besieging large enemy fortifications. They attacked large strongholds and bases. The battalion utilized ISP swamp speeders and All Terrain Recon Transports.

General Discussion & Suggestions / Conquest maps for Training purposes
« Last post by Gree on August 27, 2017, 09:33:41 pm »
Ye Mappers and Regiment leaders of Bearforce 2! Hear ye, Hear ye!
In the 501st trainings recently we have been using various conquest maps for training combat purposes. Due to this I have been thinking of converting several of the old battle and siege maps into conquest maps to make training on them smoother.

This would be accomplished by simply adding flags around the maps so that we can practise some of the more commonly fought battles without having to worry about resetting the map constantly.

Currently I have only done Honoghr Military base which while not the best map for either battle or siege has some very interesting locations on it that I would like to use during trainings without having to faff around with the constant resets of battle mode or the irregular spawn points of tdm.
Here is what I have come up with:

Remember that this map is intended for training purposes only and would not work properly as an actual conquest map.
